There has been a lot of confusion regarding basic cable television for residents lately. Randomly, throughout the complex some residents receive more than basic cable. Basic cable, under the terms of the CSUN Housing agreement, is only channels 2-24. Residents only receive free service up to channel 24. Any other services are additional costs and residents contact Time Warner directly for those services.

If a neighbor has TNT or Spike TV or any other extra channel or range of channels it is pure luck for them. If a resident once had a range of channels and has since lost those extra channels, they were just lucky to have the free channels for the time they had them. Some residents have had free cable for over a year, some for just a few months. Some residents know that their friends have extra channels that they do not receive, still the story is always the same... Channels 2-24...anything extra is pure luck.

Time Warner is working on straightening out this little annoyance but if everyone could help spread the word it would certainly help out any confusion.
