Getting involved is an important part of the college experience. Research shows that students who get involved in student organizations and leadership opportunities often are more successful in college. Residential organizations represent the population within our residential communities and enhance the campus housing experience by providing activities and programs. For more information about these opportunities, contact any member of the Residence Halls Association, its affiliated organizations, or a Student Housing staff member.
Residence Halls Association (RHA)
An organization of dedicated residents acting as agents of opportunity to promote a healthy academic and social environment while voicing the concerns of the community. RHA is the umbrella organization to all student organizations in the residential communities and is affiliated with national and regional organizations such as National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) and the Pacific Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (PACURH). RHA helps develop leadership skills along with interpersonal and intercultural growth. We are looking for creative, enthusiastic and energetic people willing to make a difference in the community. If you would like to make life in the residence halls an enjoyable and memorable experience, contact us at 818-677-6115 or visit our Web site at www.csunrha.org. RHA looks forward to welcoming you to our community!
Park Council Directors (PCDs)
Park Councils Directors (PCD) are members of RHA and are the elected leaders for each of the residential communities (Park North, Park South, Park East, Park West, Central Park Suites, and the University Village Apartments). Park Council Directors create social and academic programs for students living within their park, and also serve as the voice for any residential concerns. PCDs meet biweekly with the RHA Executive Board to discuss program and student concerns. If you are interested in getting involved as a Park Council Director, please email email@example.com for more information.
